THE CHILDREN'S STORY- CHILDREN'S
DRAWINGS FROM TEREZIN CONCENTRATION CAMP 1942 - 1944.
These drawings represent thousands of Jewish children held prisoner by the Nazi’s at the Terezin concentration camp in Czechoslovakia.
Their dally life was a constant battle against disease and hunger, and the fear of the inevitable death that awaited them. Of the 15,000 children that passed through Terezin, fewer than 100 survived.
This powerful travelling exhibition, on long-term loan to the Cape Town Holocaust Centre from the Jewish Museum in Prague, has been extremely well received since its first mounting in Cape Town in 2000.
