PUBLIC MEETING - MARCH OF THE LIVING NATIONAL ADULT PROGRAMME
The March of the Living will be conducting its National Adult Programme 2008 from April 28 - May 11. It aims to challenge a new generation of Jews with two of the most significant events of Jewish history - the Shoah (The Holocaust) and the birth of the State of Israel (which will be celebrating 60 years next April). The unique mission of the March is to bring together Jews from different countries and cultures, secular and religious, and of every religious denomination, to share a common Jewish experience.
The Poland leg of the tour will encompass the Warsaw ghetto, Schindler’s factory, and Auschwitz-Birkenau. Participants will have the option of taking part in both the Poland and Israel legs of the tour or just the Poland leg (depending on what is convenient), however participating in both legs of the tour is recommended if you want to experience the full depth of the tour experience.
A public meeting will be held for those interested at the Holocaust centre on 13th November at 8pm in the seminar room. The special guest will be 2nd generation Holocaust Survivor, educator and historian Tali Nates, who has led many tours of Poland.
The March of the Living is a unique way to explore the most significant events of modern Jewish history. for more information visit the MOTL website at www.motl.org or contact Eli Romano (partnership 2000) on 011 645 2551.
