The Third Reich

The Nazi camp

Terror and brutality

The lives of camp inmates were completely controlled by guards who could inflict cruel punishment or random executions. Prisoners were subjected to daily roll call were they stood for hours on end, even in freezing temperatures. Hundreds of thousands of prisoners died from brutal treatment, hunger, disease, exposure to the harsh winter weather or were worked to death. Many were subjected to inhumane ‘medical’ experiments.
