Slave Labour

A temporary reprieve
Those selected for slave labour were immediately stripped of their identity – their hair was shaved and they were given prison uniforms. In Auschwitz the victims were tattooed on the arm with an identifying number. People were literally worked to death. Those who could no longer work were sent to be killed in gas chambers.
