DESCRIPTION:This talk will give a personal history of a Yiddish dialectologist (and son of a Litvak Yiddish poet)\, from New York to London to Oxford to Yale to Vilnius. \nDovid Katz\, a Vilnius-based Yiddish and Holocaust scholar\, has taught at Oxford\, Yale and Vilnius universities.
