“PAIN OF THE PAST”

This piece shows both the memory and resistance of apartheid. The top left show the protesters and the top right shows the police attacking the protesters. The bottom left shows a woman sitting on a white only bench showing resistance to the rules of apartheid. The fire in the middle shows what happened in a protest when the people of colour burned their pass books as a sign of resistance.
