During the Holocaust, 1.5 million children perished, many of whom never reached the age of Bar or Bat mitzvah.
Through our twinning programme, a Bar or Bat mitzvah has the privilege of honouring a child who was unable to celebrate this milestone in Jewish life. The boy or girl being remembered will share something with the child celebrating – perhaps a birthday, a name, a brief history or even a place of origin. Each participant will receive a beautifully designed certificate.
