The people at the beginning of the path are very dark and that is because in Auschwitz it was very dark for them emotionally and they couldn’t see much future but nevertheless they carried on walking and as you can see it starts becoming brighter and brighter. At the end of the path there are the words Faith Sets You Free, this is the opposite of Arbeit Macht Frei – work sets you free, the words that were put up at the entrance of Auschwitz. This is showing that true faith in Hashem can set you free.
