The large swastika symbol represents the Nazi views and beliefs that were spread throughout Germany. The rose represents the White Rose Movement. The stem of the rose is wrapped around the Nazi symbol symbolizing how they tried to eradicate/resist the horrors of the Nazi regime. One of their statements in a leaflet said that “The White Rose will not leave you in peace.” My art piece represents the strength of the White Rose as it overpowers the Nazi symbol in my drawing.
