Sarah Jerushalmi was born in Rhodes Island in 1920 and went to school at the Jewish Alliance Française. She survived Auschwitz and Dachau, from where she was in liberated in April 1945. She moved to the Congo before arriving in South Africa with her husband, Gabriel, in 1974. Sarah has passed away and is dearly missed by her many friends in the community.
